The Detail
What you get with a kids' haircut
- Babies and first haircuts. A first cut is usually done on a parent's lap with scissors rather than clippers, because the noise is what upsets most babies, not the cut. Take your time — nobody in this shop is rushing a toddler.
- School-age cuts. Fades, tapers, and scissor cuts, same technique as the adult chairs at a kids' price. If they want a design razored in, we'll do it.
- Free parking at both shops, so you're not feeding a meter with a kid in the chair.
- Best times to come with kids: weekday mornings right at 10 AM opening, when the shop is quiet. Saturday afternoons are our busiest stretch and the wait is longest.
- Both shops are bilingual — barbers speak English and Spanish, which matters when a parent is translating for a nervous four-year-old.
