The Detail
What you get with a beard trim & line up
- Shape first. The cheek line follows the natural growth rather than being cut straight across, so it grows out without a hard edge. The neckline is set low and curved — the single most common mistake in a bad beard trim is a neckline that's too high.
- Length and blend. Clippered to your length, then scissor-worked at the moustache and the corners of the mouth where clippers can't sit flat.
- Razor line-up. Straight razor on the cheeks, the neck and the edges of the moustache. This is what makes the difference between a trimmed beard and a shaped one.
- Hot towel finish is included in the VIP Service at our Weston Road shop, along with a cream facial and a haircut.
- Pairing a beard trim with a fade is the most common combination in the shop — the sideburn gets blended into the beard instead of both stopping at their own line.

Do you do straight razor shaves?
We use a straight razor for line-ups, edges and the neck shave that finishes every cut. For a full-face hot towel treatment, ask about the VIP Service at our Weston Road location.
How long does a beard trim take?
About 20 minutes on its own. Booked with a haircut it adds roughly the same, so plan for 40 minutes to an hour.
Can you fix a patchy beard?
Yes — shaping is what makes a patchy beard read as intentional. The barber will set the lines to work with your growth pattern rather than against it. Come in and we'll talk through what's realistic before we start.
